ECOVATION AWARDED LONG-TERM WASTEWATER TREATMENT AND RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECT FOR KRAFT FOODS IN NEW YORK STATE

Ecovation was awarded a contract to provide long-term waste stream treatment and renewable energy integration at a Kraft Foods facility in New York. The treatment system will incorporate Ecovation’s patented anaerobic technology, the Mobilized Film Technology (MFTSM), to treat high strength organic wastes associated with the cheese making process. The biogas generated from the treatment process will be used to offset 20 - 30% of the manufacturing facility’s total natural gas consumption. This project represents the second major project that Ecovation will complete for Kraft Foods Global in the state.
