AMTRAK SELECTS KROFTA WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM FOR BOSTON RAIL YARD

Krofta Technologies, an Ecovation company, has reached an agreement with Amtrak to install its dissolved air flotation (DAF) unit to pretreat storm, bilge, and wash down water at the Boston rail yard. Krofta will put a temporary DAF unit in place so that the plant can remain operational while the new system is installed.

The skid-mounted Supracell DAF system includes all pumps and controls, and is pre-wired and pre-piped for easy installation. The Krofta Supracell is a state-of-the-art DAF water clarification system featuring high output, very low retention time, and a compact, space-saving design. It is used in thousands of applications worldwide in municipal, as well as industrial processes such as pulp and paper, food and beverage, and chemicals.
