Management
John Tengwall is the Vice President of the Ecovation division of Ecolab where he is responsible for the general management of the business including day to day operations and business development. Prior to this, Mr. Tengwall served as the Vice President of Marketing for the North American Food & Beverage / Water Care Services Division of Ecolab Inc., the world's leading provider of cleaning, food safety and health protection products and services. Prior to joining Ecolab in 1996, Mr. Tengwall was Business Development Manager at IMI Cornelius Inc., a manufacturer and marketer of commercial foodservice equipment and was also employed by The Upjohn Pharmaceutical Company, where he held the role of Microbiologist, Sterilization Technology and Process Control Validation. Mr. Tengwall received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Gustavus Adolphus College, and a Masters of Business Administration (Marketing concentration) from the University of St. Thomas. Peter Bokor heads up Ecovation's West Coast operations as Vice President of Western Operations and Development. In this role, he leads project development, execution and delivery of projects for Ecovation's customers throughout the western region. Before joining Ecovation, Mr. Bokor was Vice President of Corporate Strategic Services for California-based Earth Tech, Inc., where he established annual operating priorities for the company. As Senior Program Director, he provided strategic direction and program management for developing long-term client relationships and delivering value-added consulting services. His experience with strategy and financial planning was honed during his tenure at Lehman Brothers, where he worked with leveraged buyout funds and performed merger and acquisition analyses to evaluate investment opportunities for client companies. Mr. Bokor holds an M.B.A. from The Anderson School at the University of California, Los Angeles and a B.S. in mechanical and aeronautical engineering from the University of California, Davis. He is a registered mechanical engineer in the State of California.
Michael Noyes Mike Noyes is Vice President, Operation of Krofta. He possesses a unique combination of experience in manufacturing, engineering, sales and marketing, and has spent his entire career associated with Krofta and its predecessor companies. Krofta Technologies, a leading manufacturer of water and wastewater treatment equipment, designs and engineers patented dissolved air flotation (DAF) systems. Krofta's water and wastewater treatment technology is used in a wide variety of industrial, municipal, and agricultural applications. Mr. Noyes is specifically responsible for day to day management of business operations; business development efforts, including preparation of quotations and proposals; and project design, installation, and startup.
Al Pristera is the Vice President of Project Development and works closely with the CEO, CFO, and other key management and technology staff to implement and execute medium- and long-term business development strategies. Prior to his employment with the company, Mr. Pristera served as Vice President, Sales at Ondeo Degremont, a company specializing in water and wastewater treatment plants. During his tenure with Ondeo Degremont, he was responsible for directing sales and marketing activities in both the municipal and industrial markets, and was responsible for managing applications engineering efforts. From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Pristera was President and COO of Denard, a wholly owned subsidiary of Infilco Degremont. His responsibilities included managing R&D activities and budgets, as well as the applications engineering function. Mr. Pristera held a variety of executive business and engineering positions with Infilco Degremont prior to being named president of Denard in 1996. Mr. Pristera holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Newark College of Engineering.
Raj Rajan, P.E., Ph.D. serves as Vice President of Engineering for Ecovation, Inc. In this role, he is responsible for detailed process engineering, process control systems, and engineering integration of technical solutions provided by Ecovation. He is currently providing engineering support to existing and developing projects with major food & beverage clients. Dr. Rajan has extensive experience in environmental process engineering related to the chemical, petroleum, food, paper, utility, transportation, and munitions industries. He currently specializes in the design of water and wastewater treatment systems and implementing innovations in automated process control. He has a strong background in physical, chemical, and biological treatment of industrial wastewater and impacted groundwater streams. Over his 23 year career, Dr. Rajan has designed, engineered, and executed a wide variety of remediation and waste treatment projects across the U.S. Dr. Rajan is the author of over 20 peer-reviewed publications and over 15 technical presentations at national and international conferences, and is active in a number of professional engineering organizations.
Laura Reitter, CPA joined Ecovation's management team in May 2007 and is currently Vice President, Controller. She is responsible for overseeing internal reporting processes and instituting strategies to maximize Ecovation's growth. Most recently, Ms. Reitter was the Regional Sales Integration Manager for Citibank NA, where she oversaw integration with channel and vendor partners, as well as led the sales effort for the Upstate NY region. She also oversaw financial services provided to small businesses. Before joining Citibank, Ms. Reitter was a senior tax consultant for Deloitte & Touche. A graduate of the William E. Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester, where she received a Master's in Finance, Marketing and Entrepreneurship, Ms. Reitter received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the State University of New York at Albany.
David Ruch is Associate Vice President of Krofta Operations. In this newly appointed role, Mr. Ruch leads the Project Delivery and after market side of the Krofta business. Before moving Ecovation, he managed the Beloit Engineering business unit for Ecolab's Food and Beverage Division. Mr. Ruch has over 15 years of experience in equipment manufacturing ranging from Sales, Project Management, Operations and Business Management. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Science from Lipscomb University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Tennessee Tech University and an MBA from Duke University.
Roger Tippett is the Vice President of Research, Development and Engineering for Water and Energy Management. In this role, he leads the Ecovation and Water Care RD&E teams. Mr. Tippett has a B.S in Chemistry from the University of Nottingham in England and a M.S. in Operations and Technology Management from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He has 19 years of industrial water treatment experience with a focus in the last several years on applications within the Food Processing industry. These applications include wastewater, process water, boiler water and cooling water treatment. Mr. Tippett is an expert in water re-use and food safety and is a member of the Technical Advisory Committee to the National Center for Food Safety and Technology (NCFST) and a member of the Water Environment Federation. Mr. Tippett has been awarded two patents.
Richard White is the Vice President of Contract Operations and oversees the ongoing operations of Ecovation's treatment systems at customer sites, ensuring that they continue to operate at optimal performance levels. White has over 25 years of experience in waste stream treatment operations. Prior to Ecovation, Mr. White was a vice president at Earth Tech, where he was responsible for providing high quality service at over 60 contract operations projects. Mr. White also developed and implemented the first set of performance standards and expectations for these 60 projects, which is now the basis for Earth Tech's international QA/QC program. Mr. White holds a B.S. in biology from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse University.
