Established in 1995, Ecovation commercialized an anaerobic process developed and refined for over 20 years by the company’s co-founder. Our patented Mobilized Film Technology (MFT) is a high-rate, reliable process that converts organics to biogas—suitable to offset energy use in production processes. Our core technologies are the most efficient available and we are committed to continually expanding our portfolio.

In 2005, Ecovation acquired Krofta Technologies, a global provider of DAF and aerobic treatment systems, further improving our ability to deliver comprehensive treatment solutions worldwide. After a successful two-year partnership with Biotim N.V., Ecovation acquired Biotim’s technologies for the U.S. market—including the Biotim UASB, Biotim UAC, Biotim AF and others. Ecovation now offers a full range of anaerobic options—all providing the benefits of turning waste to energy.
